Jake is a character in Duskwood. He is an elusive hacker who has offered to help uncover the truth behind Hannah Donfort's mysterious disappearance. There is little that we know of him, however he proves himself to be a trustworthy companion as the game progresses.
Duskwood - Finding Hannah[]
Jake first contacts the MC after giving them access to a private chat between Jessy and Dan in the Prologue of the game. He video calls the MC and gives them an overview of the situation before instructing them to decrypt Hannah's phone cloud. He also told them to share anything of significance to him.
Jake and the MC would later discover various clues leading towards Hannah's friends group throughout their search for Hannah.
Occasionally, they would engage in small talk, with Jake admitting he has not done so in a long time. He would occasionally let go of his facade on these chats if the MC so desires.
If the MC chooses to purchase the Multimedia package, Jake and the MC have the opportunity to become a couple, falling in love over the course of their investigation. It should be noted that this is only applicable to players who chose to be posed as a female MC.
Over the course of the investigation, you discovered that Jake is Lilly and Hannah Donfort's half-brother, making his full name Jake Donfort. He was in and/or near Duskwood for at least a portion of the game, requiring assistance to protect himself at one point.

- He starts out as a very reserved, distant and mysterious character. As the MC forms a bond with him, however, he begins to open up and become much warmer towards them.
- His name previously appears in the player's contacts as "???". After the MC strikes up a premium conversation with him, he ends up revealing that his name is Jake.
- Dan is the only character to have referred to Jake as "hackerman" throughout the game, even after Lilly's revelations. The rest initially referred to him as "the hacker" before and Jake after upon learning about his identity.
- Jake has been on the run from the government for four years. He is wanted for revealing things that they prefer to have been kept hidden.
- He has black hair and is often depicted by fans to have blue eyes, as suggested in a portion of the trailer for Episode 8.
