Story

The story is set in a remote village, named "Duskwood" hidden amidst dense forests. It revolves around the mysterious disappearance of Hannah Donfort, to which through a strange text message the player is contacted. They later accompany their new clique to uncover the truth behind this case of kidnapping.

The group is constantly bombarded with situations that challenge newfound trust and bonds throughout the game via text messages, calls, video calls, among many other immersive features. Decisions that the player makes throughout their misadventures affects the types of relationships they have with the characters greatly. Thus, players are advised to be considerate of any actions they choose to take.

Throughout the game, the player is tasked with completing Mini games in order to progress with the story. The Mini games functions as a gauge for players to proceed through the story at a set pace for maximum immersion.

The Mini game puzzles each have varying difficulties in no particular order, however, it generally ramps up in difficulty over time as the player progresses through the story. The puzzles’ mechanics are relatively stable, with new ones introduced periodically from episodes 1 through 7.

Players can rely on luck and oftentimes strategies to satisfy objectives on a puzzle, with some relying more on luck than others.

Players are also distributed with a maximum of 5 Hearts, the currency used to complete a level of Mini game. Once a Heart is consumed as a penalty for a level lost, it is recharged within 30 minutes. Players also have the option to purchase Hearts with coins, which has no maximum Heart cap.
